Shit Happens
„Shit Happens“ is a heart project that my friend, Dorian Massari, and I embarked on during our apprenticeship. Together, we crafted the story, wrote the script, and meticulously planned each shooting session. On set, Dorian took charge behind the camera, showcasing his directorial brilliance, while I supported him as co-director. My role involved coordinating actions with the actors and equipment, and I even had the chance to step into the shoes of the wild sage URS.
The majority of our cast and crew comprised friends and contacts who were new to the industry. Teaching and guiding them through the process demanded patience, but witnessing their progress and dedication made it all worthwhile. Scheduling shoots, especially ones requiring 20+ people, presented a challenge due to their busy lives and commitments, but with persistence, we managed to pull it off.
Working with friends in a professional capacity wasn’t always a walk in the park, yet these shoots created an opportunity for us to bond and share unforgettable moments. The ultimate reward wasn’t just winning competitions, but the genuine joy on our participants faces when they watched the final movie. The memories we forged during this project will endure, and the journey, though filled with unexpected challenges, remains a treasured pleasure.
