Fragile reflections

At the center of this work is the portrait of my cousin, one of the strongest people I know. The golden fragments in the background symbolize the past conflicts my cousin went through, the fragility of her self-image and the wounds she still carries today.

This work is meant to be an encouragement to empathize and to
make us aware that fragility and vulnerability are part of being human. Because we all carry our own fragments with us.
